No. 9 Park, Chef Barbara Lynch’s, James Beard award-winning flagship fine dining restaurant is seeking a Bar Manager to join their team.

Located in an elegant townhouse in Boston’s historic Beacon Hill, No. 9 Park provides an intimate setting in which to enjoy Chef Barbara’s refined cuisine. The menu showcases an artful blend of regionally-inspired Italian and French dishes with an emphasis on simplicity and flavor. Their wine list includes a number of old world wines from boutique vintners. From the thoughtfully selected wines to the warm hospitality, No. 9 Park continues to set the standard for fine dining in Boston, and has received numerous accolades, including but not limited to: a AAA Four Diamond Rating, 2012 James Beard Foundation Award for Outstanding Wine Program, and Boston Magazine’s Best of Boston and 50 Best Restaurants lists.

The Bar Manager is a dynamic position that is integral to the day to day operation of No. 9 Park. The position reports directly to the General Manager and has a focus on leading, inspiring, and educating the bar staff. This is a hands-on position that requires direct involvement in the nightly operation of the restaurant. Candidates must have a passion for hospitality as well as food, wine and spirits. The position plays a key role in the delivery of an approachable, yet unparalleled, dining experience to all guests.

The Bar Manager will work closely with the General Manager to lead the service team and ensure that service standards are consistently maintained. He or she will exemplify No. 9 Park’s values of intention, conviction, growth and education. Ideal applicants will have a minimum of 1 year restaurant management experience, preferably in fine dining. Preferably, ideal candidates will have a level one sommelier certification.

The Bar Manager will oversee the beverage operations of the restaurant and work with the General Manager to develop cocktail lists, wine program, wine and spirits ordering. In addition, the Bar Manager will be working closely with the Chef de Cuisine on wine pairings for the Chef’s Tasting menu.
