Hook + Line is high octane and high energy, with an all-day marketplace, expansive restaurant and menu driven by fresh catch, vendor partnerships and high-end whimsy reflected through food.
Scope & General Purpose: As a Bartender at Hook + Line, this position takes a pivotal role in bar operations, guest service over the bar and contributions to the beverage program. In service, you will provide signature hospitality and guide guest experience from start to finish.

Schedule: Full-time, varying schedule, across Hook + Line’s business hours
Management Structure: Reports to General Manager, and all Hook + Line Managers
Bartending Responsibilities:
- Arrive to all bartending shifts on time and ready to set-up the bar spaces for service
- Evaluate the set-up of drink wells, product, ice and all ingredients and equipment necessary for bar operations
- Determine Bar preparation needs based on level of business, changes in menu, or special events
- Greet all bar guests, leading their dining and drinking experiences from start to finish, imbuing hospitality, precision and warmth
- Address guest concerns and complaints, seeking to recover each guest experience
- Support the guest experience of those who transition from the bar to the dining room
- Work with fellow bar trainers, bartenders, apprentices and barback in a team oriented way, with a goal of a supportive, collaborative, focused work environment
- Display commitment to volume-oriented service with precise execution during all Bar shifts
- Execute the responsibilities of Hook + Line Bartender with consistency, thought and adherence to all established standards
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, sit, squat, or walk for extended periods of time, walk up and down stairs
- Able to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in hospitality, preferably behind the Bar
- Strong working knowledge of bartending, food, and beverage
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail
- High integrity and professionalism
- A genuinely positive, joyful, upbeat, and energetic attitude – leading by example
