EVOO to Close at the End of May

Kendall Square’s EVOO will be calling it quits at the end of the month according to a post on their Instagram. The well-loved farm-to-table restaurant from chef-owner Peter McCarthy and co-owner Colleen McCarthy first opened in Somerville in 1998 before moving into its current Cambridge digs, which it shares with its sister restaurant/pizza parlor, Za, in 2010.

Citing good timing with their lease as well as a desire to slow down and spend more time with family, the team will be closing up shop at EVOO on June 1st and Za Cambridge on June 14th. Za Arlington will remain open indefinitely (hopefully for many years to come).

That means you’ve got a month or so to pop by and say farewell and revisit your favorite dishes like the beef tartare (pictured above) or the chicken or the Chinese Box, which has been a mainstay on the menu since the beginning. Book a table online here or by calling 617.661.3866.
