American whiskey is made with domestically-grown ingredients, of course, which makes it a little different than imports, but there’s more to the story of this homegrown spirit than just malt, corn and oak barrels. Learn all the ins and outs at Chickadee‘s American Whiskey Family Tree cocktail class on Saturday, May 4th. Grab a ticket here for $100 and, starting at 3:00pm, the restaurant’s in-house spirits smartie Ted Kilpatrick will take you on a guided tour of the different styles. The afternoon includes 5 to 6 half-sized cocktails to taste, plus some yummy snacks from chef John DaSilva’s kitchen team to keep your palate cleansed. And since you’ll already be down in The Seaport, why not stay after class and have dinner at the bar? Let the restaurant know if you’ll be sticking around by giving them a ring at 617.531.5591 and they’ll save you stools for later.
