Citrus & Salt Reopens in Fort Point

If you’ve been missing chef Jason SantosCitrus & Salt since they shuttered their original Back Bay spot at the end of February, rejoice! The new Fort Point location is opening on Saturday, May 4th.

The eagerly anticipated space at 321 A Street aims to be one of the prettiest restaurants in the city thanks to design from Assembly Design Studio. Take a peek at their Instagram for a preview of the new room that exudes airy beach vibes with fun, bright pops of color, vibrant sugar skulls, flowers, and even flamingos. There’s lots more space than the old location, too, including 40 additional seats indoors, an outdoor patio, and a chic private dining room that seats 16.

Santos’ menu has plenty of the OG location’s Mexi-Cali eats that you love, including signature faves like Tortilla-Crusted Baja Fish Tacos; Flam’n Hot Cheeto-Crusted Street Corn and Chilaquiles. There are also a few newbies on the list, like Nashville Hot Chicken Tacos, Tequila and Chipotle Steamed Mussels and Blue Crab Empanadas, plus there’s a raw bar program featuring a variety of ceviche and oysters. Of course it wouldn’t be Citrus & Salt without the drinks, and beverage director Sarah Heimreid doesn’t disappoint with an updated collection of beer, wine, and an array of classic and signature cocktails. It’s the ideal spot for margaritas after work, a tequila flight, or large format sippers for sharing. And don’t worry — they’ve still got their soft serve mimosas.
