Offering panoramic views of the Boston Harbor and skyline, Hook + Line is a seafood centric, champagne drenched gathering place in the Seaport. Hook + Line is high octane and high energy, with an all-day marketplace, expansive restaurant and menu driven by fresh catch, vendor partnerships and high-end whimsy reflected through food.
Scope & General Purpose: The Barback at Hook + Line is an integral support role for the bar. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, setting up the bar for service, preparing garnishes, stocking ice and ingredients, washing glassware, maintaining the bar top (filling waters, clearing plates, etc.), preparing juices/syrups/etc., and closing the bar.

Schedule: Full-time or part time, varying schedule, across Hook + Line’s business hours
Management Structure: Reports to General Manager, and all Hook + Line Managers
Barback Responsibilities:
- Arrive to all shifts on time and ready to set-up the bar spaces for service
- Evaluate the set-up of drink wells, product, ice and all ingredients and equipment necessary for bar operations
- Work with bar trainers, bartenders, bar stewards, and fellow barbacks in a team oriented way, with a goal of a supportive, collaborative, focused work environment
- Display commitment to volume-oriented service with precise execution during all Bar shifts
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, sit, squat, or walk for extended periods of time, walk up and down stairs
- Able to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
