Sycamore in Newton Centre is looking for a line cook to join the team. Come work in a small, but mighty neighborhood bistro. Sycamore is 48 seats, closed on Sundays and Mondays, and serves seasonal “frenchy-italiany-spanishy-americany” cuisine. The menu changes frequently and is always tasty. In season we love working with our local farms to cook what we consider realistic, honest food. The restaurant is closed on all the good holidays as well. This is a great opportunity to come and learn, cook great food, scrub a line, write a list and have some laughs! A good attitude is a must…sharp knives and a recipe notebook are helpful too. The job is full time…your 40+ hours are typically knocked out in 4 days. This gives you three nights off a week. So there’s that too. The cook pay is great…$20/hr+3% kitchen fee, this typically comes out to about $24-$26/hr. Not too shabby. Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance and dental are available and we pay half.
