Hot weather doesn’t need to slow down your dessert routine. Skip the pint of store-bought ice cream and sign up for the Summer Chills class on Thursday, June 25th at Sofra in Allston. Executive pastry chef Nik Mastalerz (of both Oleana and Sofra) is going to show you how to make some of the coolest sweets of the season, including Filo Ice Cream cones topped with rich Caymak Ice Cream, white chocolate dip and salted almonds; a silky Chocolate & Pistachio Semifreddo; and his take on the Turkish dessert Bici Bici with raspberry granita, labne jellies and fairy floss. Best of all? No oven required.
Tickets cost $125 and you can score those here. This demonstration-style class runs from 6:00 to 8:00pm, and there’ll be plenty of time for tasting (plus a few Sofra snacks and sips).
