Two Pence Market – Production Cooks

Two Pence Market is looking for production cooks who love the rhythm of a serious prep kitchen and care deeply about quality, consistency, and good food made from scratch.

This is not a line cook position. Our kitchen is production-focused: bagels, spreads, soups, salads, prepared foods, baked components, hot bar items, smoothie prep, sauces, and seasonal specials. We’re building a team that takes pride in craft, organization, and feeding people well every day. We are hiring for both AM and PM production shifts.

Production Cooks focus on:

  • Bagel production and baking
  • Early morning, afternoon and evening prep and hot production
  • Setting the kitchen up for service
  • Large batch prep and recipe execution
  • Maintaining strong organization and cleanliness throughout production
  • Stocks, sauces, braises, roasting, and longer projects
  • Packaging and labeling prepared foods
  • Smoothie pack and grab-and-go prep
  • Restocking and resetting kitchen stations for the following day

You are someone who:

  • Moves with urgency but stays organized
  • Cares about consistency and details
  • Understands prep systems and kitchen flow
  • Can work independently once trained
  • Communicates well and helps keep the kitchen calm
  • Contributes to a healthy and collaborative kitchen culture
  • Has the ability to stand for extended periods and move between multiple kitchens including navigating stairs

Daytime and evening shifts available. Competitive pay based on experience. Pay range is from $20-$26/hour.
Benefits available for full-time employees include subsidized medical and dental insurance coverage, paid time off, sick time accrual in accordance with MA Earned Sick Time Law.

Two Pence Market is a new all-day market, cafe, and prepared foods shop opening in late July in Milton Lower Mills. We are conveniently located at the Milton Landing Red Line Trolley stop. The market is housed in a beautifully restored 1922 bank building at the corner of Adams and Eliot Streets, and features a brand new kitchen equipped with a Rational Double Deck Oven and a Rational iVario Tilt Skillet.
