Chef Ken Oringer is firing things up at Coppa this Fourth of July with a Neighborhood Cookout Menu packed with locally raised meats from their neighbors at Walden Local Meat. Head to 253 Shawmut Ave on Independence Day to build your dream plate with a Coppa cheeseburger topped with fontina and Calabrian burger sauce, smoked pulled pork with porcini BBQ sauce or a smoky sausage topped with peperonata. The special cookout menu will be available during Coppa’s regular dinner hours from 5:00 to 10:00pm, so there’s plenty of time to stop by before or after the fireworks if you’re out on the town. For $30, you’ll get one main and two sides, with choices like creamy mac and cheese, corn on the cob with ‘nduja butter, fried scallion potatoes, coleslaw and cucumber salad. Score reservations online here, or give them a call at 617.391.0902 to save your seats.
