This is a unique opportunity to join James Beard award-winner Chef-Owner Tim Cushman’s team of dedicated chefs at o ya, a contemporary Japanese restaurant in Boston’s Leather District. o ya is a small, omakase-only concept open five nights per week for dinner service with a focus on precise high quality and innovative attention to unique flavor combinations. A variety of cooking styles are employed, taught and learned regularly.
o ya seeks to hire a self-motivated, humble, professional cook who is eager to both learn and contribute ideas. Candidates must be serious about career and food, ego-free, dependable and have a consistent genuinely positive attitude. The team is close-knit and prepared for imminent growth. 1-2 years of line experience is preferred, though extensive Japanese food knowledge is not required. Position will be full time, and o ya is open Tuesday through Saturday for dinner service.
