Cafe Sushi, a beloved neighborhood gem in Harvard Square, is looking for a motivated, team player who enjoys the fast-paced nature of a busy restaurant, committed to craftsmanship, and eager to contribute to a collaborative kitchen.
What You’ll Do
- Assist the sushi bar line during dinner service by doing the following:
- Garnishing and finishing signature maki
- Learning how to make maki and handrolls
- Topping and garnishing sashimi, nigiri
- Preparing mise for dishes
- Maintain a clean and organized work station in line with health and safety standard
- Assist in all end of service clean-up duties
- Uphold Cafe Sushi’s standards of quality, freshness, and creativity
What We’re Looking For
- 1-2 years restaurant experience (previous sushi restaurant experience is a plus, but not required)
- Strong Knife skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team oriented environment
- Passion for Japanese cuisine
- Motivated learner
- Reliability, professionalism and attention to detail

Compensation
Starting at $20 (compensation based on experience and skill)
