We are currently looking for energetic, positive, hard working and self-motivated general manager who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment for the seasonal operation at The Grove at Lawn on D. The ideal manager must possess the ability to provide consistent, friendly, and responsive service to create an exceptional experience for all our guests at The Grove at the Lawn on D while leading our team through the execution of an extremely busy season.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the execution of all events including logistics, timeline, food and bar menus and set up and breakdown of events.
- Supervise staff as they execute the event from set up, through the live event and in the post event breakdown.
- Execute all Food and Beverage concession area operations including the set up and breakdown of each one.
- Hire, train and develop hourly staff
- Guarantee that all guest expectations are exceeded
- Maintain open communication with sales team and chef
- Participate in open discussion with the Lawn on D team during weekly operational meetings.
- Weekend and evening/night availability
- Strong decision-making abilities and leadership skills
- Comprehensive understanding of financials including food and beverage costs, labor control, and ordering
- Detail oriented with the ability to communicate all implementation of the event to the entire team
We are looking for a minimum of 5 years of Banquet, Catering, Special Event, or Hotel Operations experience in a high volume leadership capacity.
