Ciao Bella Opens in the North End

Say ciao to Ciao Bella. The North End’s latest newcomer is officially open as of Tuesday, June 4th at 5 North Square, serving up a selection of seafood-focused plates and housemade pasta along with chops, chicken and contorni (Italian side dishes). The opening comes just a month after the owners of the former North Square Oyster space announced a change in concept that was inspired by sister spot, Tony & Elaine’s.

“When we opened our most recent restaurant, Tony & Elaine’s, we were inspired by working within the notion of what an Italian-American restaurant could be. We’ve been overwhelmed by the response and having a lot of fun with it. With North Square, we knew we weren’t maximizing the opportunity provided by being a restaurant in Boston’s Little Italy. Ciao Bella will be an elevated alternative to the old-school, casual vibe of Tony & Elaine’s and North Square Oyster Bar allows us to continue on with a great restaurant that we’re very proud of. It’s the best of both worlds,” said Nick Frattaroli in a press release.

In addition to Tony & Elaine’s, this team also runs the West End’s Bodega Canal and nearby Ward 8. Come see the new set-up any night of the week for dinner between 4:30pm and 10:00pm, or swing past for lunch on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays beginning at 11:30am.
