Fans of North Square Oyster, don’t despair — the seafood-focused North End spot will be opening back up in June 2019 as Ciao Bella, a more sophisticated sister to its casual Italian-American sister restaurant, Tony & Elaine’s. Housemade pasta like amatriciana & carbonara and meatier dishes featuring chicken, veal, steaks and chops meet on the menu to make up the new culinary offerings from Executive Chef Pierce Boalt Juckett (Select Oyster Bar, Waypoint).
NSO will still live on through a 10-seat bar — renamed, appropriately, North Square Oyster Bar — and they’ll serve up the seafood dishes you’ve come to know and love, simply scaled down. Expect to find plates of crudo, lots of oysters, lobster rolls, small production natural wines, Italian craft beers and retro cocktails. Both the bar and the main restaurant will open their doors seven days a week for dinner. Lunch is set to follow, so stay tuned!
