This Week in Boston Eats

Never a dull moment in the restaurant industry. The interwebs are all atwitter with news of Tiffani Faison‘s new ‘cue restaurant, called Sweet Cheeks, coming to Fenway at the end of the summer.

Red Lantern and 49 Social debuted in the Back Bay and Downtown Crossing respectively. Keep an eye out for their BostonChefs.com portfolios, which are in the works.

Some kitchen switchin’ – Chef Louis DiBiccari has left his post at the helm of Sel de la Terre Back Bay. No word on what his next move is though we bet he’s getting enticing offers from his friends on the Cape and islands. A summer in Truro sounds awfully nice.

There’s a new chef at The Butcher Shop. Michele Carter, most recently of No. 9 Park, has taken over for chef Robert Grant. Word is that Grant is going to be doing some traveling.

Be sure to check out some site updates – 51 Lincoln, Bond and Menton have all just added new pictures to their portfolios. Petit Robert Central makes its first appearance on the site, though chef Eric Bogardus is a familiar face.

In the coming soon category…keep an eye out for new food shots from Chris Douglass‘s Dorchester duo of restaurants, Tavolo and Ashmont Grill, and Rialto at the Charles Hotel. Newbies like Bella Luna, Abby Park, Da Vinci and East Coast Grill will be popping up over the next couple weeks so check back soon.
