If historians are right, people have been eating asparagus as far back as 3000 BC, yet the asparagus season in New England is so short that you could blink and miss it, so grab a reservation for Forage’s wine dinner this week on Tuesday, May 14th, which is a celebration of tasty spring shoots.
Check out chef Eric Cooper’s menu below, which works a little asparagus into every course including Asparagus & Potato Soup with Chicken Mushroom, Raw Asparagus Tips and Rhubarb; and Beef & Asparagus Pinwheel with Stalks and Lacto Asparagus Mustard. Wine guru Stan Hilbert also has some lovely wine pairings in store to round things out, including 2022 Perle Nature, Domaine Philemon, Gaillac; and 2023 Teroldego, Colori Wines, Monterey.
Dinner costs $110 per person and you can scoop up spots between 5:00 and 8:45pm here.
