4th of July Eats in Southie

Lincoln Tavern Facebook

The folks at Lincoln Tavern put their patriotism on display – on the wall, where they’ve hung a 35 Star Union Army American Flag, circa 1863 and on their special holiday menu. Chef Nick Dixon’s a la carte 4th of July offerings draw inspiration from classic New England flavors and from his recent trip to Maryland for a three-day-long BBQ intensive. Have a peek at the menu below and plan a weekend jaunt to Southie for a taste. Don’t forget to get a glimpse of the flag while you’re there. The hand-cut and hand-stitched beauty is especially rare, constructed for the Union Army during the American Civil War and flown, appropriately enough, during Abraham Lincoln’s presidency.
