BOSTONCHEFS.COM REIMAGINED

FOR RELEASE: JUNE 29, 2015

(Cambridge, MA) Boston’s first and best digital dining destination just got even better. On Thursday June 18, BostonChefs.com unveiled a brand new platform. Visitors will immediately notice its bold look; in addition to the luscious food photography that’s been the site’s trademark since day one, it now boasts vibrant imagery to complement its comprehensive coverage of the area’s food and beverage scene. The site has also been reorganized with intuitive navigation and search tools that make it enjoyable to browse and easy to access the amazing variety of content it offers. And, best of all, BostonChefs.com is just as entertaining and functional on smartphones and tablets as it is on laptops and desktops.

“This is the single largest investment we’ve made since launching sixteen years ago,” says Paul Schiavone, CEO and Creative Director of BostonChefs.com. “We owe it to our member restaurants, our advertisers, and above all our loyal followers to provide the best possible experience. Whether looking for a place to dine this weekend, staying on top of restaurant openings and food events, or searching for a job in Boston’s booming restaurant industry, our followers will readily find what they’re looking for and discover exciting new things along the way.”

Executive Editor Honor Lydon is especially excited about the reimagined BostonChefs.com. “With our new platform we’re providing even deeper, more comprehensive coverage of news and events.” BostonChefs.com represents nearly 230 member restaurants, and each is showcased with current menus, stunning pictures of their signature dishes, and insider information on their concepts, chefs, and events. “Everything our readers tell us they love about us is still there, and the site has always been updated daily,” says Lydon, “but now, the minute you land on BostonChefs.com, you’ll instantly see what’s new and be able to share what you’ve discovered with others who are equally passionate about all things food.”

The BostonChefs network reaches an average of 40,000 people per month, and over 150,000 during peak periods. In addition to its news and events coverage and online dining guide, BostonChefs.com also includes a section devoted to beer, wine, and cocktails; a constantly growing collection of recipes from local chefs; and the region’s most popular job board for industry professionals. BostonChefs is also the publisher of the weekly newsletter e-licious and the seasonal website RestaurantWeekBoston.com.
