Post 390 wants to give you a reason to get out of bed on a Saturday with their 6th Annual Rise & Rumble Donut Throwdown on November 2nd. They’re pitting some of Boston’s best pastry chefs against one another — from spots like Harvest, Bistro du Midi, Tiger Mama, The Broadway, No. 9 Park, The Table at Season to Taste and Capo — to see who’s got the best donut in town, and who better to judge than you? The fun starts at 11:00am with a brunch buffet, coffee and espresso bar, and all the donuts you can handle. The cash bar will be open for brunch cocktails and Bloody Marys, and since nobody wants to miss an excuse to dress up around Halloween, they’re celebrating with an optional costume contest, where the winner will be awarded a $200 gift certificate to any Himmel Hospitality Group restaurant.
