Looking to get into the spirit of National Margarita Day? Look to your friends at The Painted Burro and Burro Bar South End where they’re hosting a days-long Battle of the Margs. From Thursday, February 22nd through Sunday, February 25th, each of the five locations (that’s Somerville, Waltham, Brookline and Harvard Square for Painted Burro and South End for Burro Bar) will be featuring two unique creations, each vying for a spot on the menu.
Pop in to outpost of your choice to try the contenders including the Cantarito Margarita made with El Tesoro reposado, lime, grapefruit, grapefruit soda and salt, the Champagne Margarita which features strawberry infused tequila, triple sec, lime and bubbles or the Better Late Than Navel with Old Mexico Blanco, Grand Marnier, lime juice, agave and fresh mandarins juice.
You can order full sized individual margaritas for $14 each or go for the Margarita Flight for $16 and you’ll get to cast your vote for your fave. The winners will be announced on Monday, February 26th, and the margaritas with the most votes will make it onto the menu.
