On Sunday, August 16^th, beverage manager Ryan Lotz gets tropical with a tiki-focused cocktail class at No. 9 Park. Lotz and would-be mixologists will spend the afternoon exploring Potions of the Caribbean, the most recent book from tiki guru and beverage historian Jeff “Beachbum” Berry. The tome follows the rise of tiki culture from its Caribbean beginnings and offers a slew of never-before-published recipes and wild garnishes. Lotz will lead the group in testing and tasting the creative concoctions, accompanied by bar bites from chef Ben Weisberger. (See here for more on tiki and a peek at one of Lotz’s own tipples.)
