Night Shift Brewing’s Owl’s Nest pop-up beer gardens have become a well-loved seasonal treat (especially the one on the Esplanade), and now they’re making their way to Somerville with their new Assembly Row location. They’re teaming up with chef Andy Husbands and his ‘que lovin’ crew at The Smoke Shop so you can spend the summer sipping brewskies and sinking your teeth into seriously good (awarding-winning, even) barbecue.

The menu includes fall-off-the-bone ribs and slow-smoked brisket, a slew of different sauces (from sweet glaze to tangy vinegar),which you can pair with potable delights like the classic Night Shift Whirlpool or something a little different like the Night Shift Hoot Tropical: Lychee Papaya. Make a day of it at the Row playing some pickleball or shuffleboard at the new outdoor pop-up experience Playpkl, or sit back and relax with some cold ones and finger lickin’ good eats.

The Owl’s Nest Assembly is open Monday-Thursday from 2:00-9:00pm, Friday-Saturday from 11:30am-9:00pm and Sunday from 12:00-6:oopm. It’s walk-in only so just grab a few friends (sorry no furry, four-legged friends are allowed) and take a seat out in the sun. Get deets and directions online here.
