Talulla Hosts Chef Hong Thaimee

Talulla/Hong Thaimee

Get a whole new perspective on Thai cuisine at Talulla when chef Hong Thaimee pops by for an interactive cooking workshop and special tasting menu dinner.

The Jean Georges Vongerichten-trained culinarian will be in town starting on Monday, April 29th to lead a cooking class at the cozy Cambridge mom-and-pop restaurant, where she’ll demonstrate how to make a traditional Thai curry noodle dish. You’ll get to sip on a complimentary cocktail while you watch, and there’ll be a family-style sit-down feast after class, plus recipe cards and directions to take home. Snag your spots for class, which starts at 6:00pm, online here for $150 per person.

On Tuesday, April 30th, Thaimee will be sticking around to take over chef Conor Dennehy’s kitchen for a 9-course Chiang Mai Khantoke Feast complete with Yum Jin Gai, Chiang Mai Pork, “Laab,” Blue Sticky Rice and more (check out the menu below). Grab reservations here between 5:00 and 9:00pm; dinner costs $125 per person, and with just 12 tables in the dining room spots will sell out fast so jump on it if you’re interested.

Give the restaurant a call at 617.714.5584 if you have any Qs about either event, and make sure you’re following them on IG both for updates and to find out if Dennehy wins big at this year’s James Beard Awards, which will be announced on Monday, June 10th.
