Field & Vine welcomes fifth generation Oregonian Joe Swick of Swick Wines for their very first maker dinner on Wednesday, August 29th. Swick’s a young guy running a small winery out of Newberg, Oregon, and he’s passionate about working with organic, biodynamic and sustainably farmed vineyards in the Pacific Northwest. He’s worked 15 different harvests across the globe in places like Tasmania, France, Portugal, France and Italy (that’s commitment, people!), and his experiences inspired him to start his own venture (aka Swick Wines) upon his return home. Today, he’s focused on bottling up as pure and untouched wines as possible (with many of them having zero sulfur added), and you’ll get a chance to sample the vino for yourself along with five courses from chef Andrew Brady.
