Sherry Pocknett Pop Up Menu

If you haven’t had a chance to get to Sly Fox Den Too in Charlestown, Rhode Island, make a beeline for Branch Line and check out James Beard Award-winning chef Sherry Pocknett’s Indigenous cuisine as part of Watertown’s Indigenous Peoples’ Day celebration.

The Mashpee Wampanoag chef and 2023 Best Chef Northeast will be making a trip to Watertown on Thursday, November 16th to share some of her recipes with chef Michael Morway and the staff at the stylish rotisserie. She and Dr. Mishy Lesser, co-founder of Pigsgusset Initiative and learning director for Upstander Project, will introduce the team to culinary and cultural history of dishes like butternut squash soup, corn cakes, and cranberry chutney and discuss the 12,000-year-old history of the Mashpee Wampanoag.

Morway & Co. will feature the specials on the dinner menu from the 16th through Tuesday, November 21st so book a table to try them all. If you’ve got kids in tow, come between 4:30 and 5:30pm each evening for a family-friendly hour featuring some Indigenous artwork for kids to color. If you’ve got Qs give the restaurant a call at 617.420.1900, and keep up with Pocknett’s cheffing adventures on her IG.
