LUPEC’s Tiki Bash

Whip out those Hawaiian shirts and little drink umbrellas for an evening of kitsch, music and dancing at LUPEC‘s third annual Tiki Bash. On Saturday, November 14th, visit the Villa Victoria Center for the Arts – you’ll hardly recognize it, decked out to look like a 1950s themed tiki party complete with of-the-era drinks and demonstrations by some of Boston’s best bartenders. Chefs Jamie Bissonnette and Mike Smith of Toro and Coppa, the folks from Island Creek Oysters, Myers + Chang, Green Street and The Franklin Café will be around to ensure that guests have something delectable to nibble on with their drinks. Taza Chocolate will also be in house to sate any sweet tooths. This year’s beneficiary, On the Rise, is an organization that supports women living in crisis or homelessness. To purchase tickets, which cost $35 in advance or $45 at the door, visit the LUPEC website or go to any of several eateries throughout the city.
