De La Boue Dinner in Inman

Puritan & Co

Oregon’s Willamette Valley and the city of Boston may be more than 3,000 miles apart, but when it comes to latitude they are only separated by a few degrees. You can skip the cross country flight and get up close and personal with some vintages from the famed Pacific Northwest region at Puritan & Co.’s next wine dinner featuring bottles from De La Boue on Wednesday, May 18th.

Chef-owner Will Gilson and team are fine-tuning a five-course meal designed to showcase some recent vintages made by winemakers Chris Andrew and Travis Todd, including 2020 Chardonnay, Gregory Ranch Vineyard; 2020 Pinot Noir, Vista Grande Vineyard; 2020 Pinot Noir, Gregory Ranch Vineyard and 2020 Syrah, Lewis Vineyard. Andrew and Todd make wines sourced from organic and biodynamic sites, principles that are reflected in their winery’s name, which is derived from “nostalgie de la boue,” a french phrase loosely meaning a longing for simpler time and “de la boue” directly translating to “of the mud.” This dovetails nicely with Gilson’s approach to sourcing fresh, seasonal, local ingredients.

Tickets for dinner, which starts at 6:30pm, are $150 each (before processing fees) and available online here. Keep an eye on Puritan’s website for updates on the menu, or call 617.615.6195 for more details or to make a reservation.
