Fried Seafood Feast

Now that he’s helped you get a week’s worth of vegetables in one fell swoop (or soup, as the case may be), Chad Burns is going all out with a full on fried seafood extravaganza. On Monday, September 8th, the fryer at Farmstead Table will be working overtime, bubbling up crispy, battered, golden deliciousness – clams, oysters, fish and maybe a potato or two – for the all-you-can-eat feast. There’ll be $3 beers as well as coleslaw and berry cobbler for the fruit-and-vegetable-obsessed set. Tickets, which are available online here, are $60 each but there are only 45 of them, so better get one quick and plan on being in Newton between 6:30 and 9:30pm. Gratuities from the fry-fest will be donated to Farmstead Table team member Maria Rodriguez, who’s recovering from a recent surgery. As the ticket page notes, they’re unable to accommodate allergies of food restrictions, so if you’re allergic to “fried”, stick with the soup. Call 617.928.6000 for more additional details.
