Oak Long Bar + Kitchen is making the most of the Copley Square Farmers Market — located just across the street — through the fall by taking the freshest seasonal ingredients, blending them up and pairing the concoction with a little booze. The cocktail special will change every few weeks until November. Carrot On was the first featured drink to debut, and now the beverage crew has unveiled a second sipper: Just Beet It. With red beet-infused roku gin, cynar amaro, cane sugar and lime juice, it’s the sweet yet earthy bevvy you’ve been seeking this summer.
“Roku Gin is only distilled with Japanese botanicals like cherry blossom and green tea, so it takes very well to new flavor introductions,” said Daniel Loperfido, General Manager of OAK Long Bar + Kitchen in a press release. “The beet-infused gin plays off of herbal notes in the Cynar making for a well-balanced aperitif-style cocktail.”
Get yours at the bar or outside on the patio (if you opt to drink al fresco, you’ll have a prime spot to see the Atlas Farm stand at the farmers market where the beets are sourced every Tuesday and Thursday).
