The Aquitaine Group opened their newest spot this week on Washington Street in the South End. La Motta’s Italian Specialties, an homage to the New York neighborhood joints of old, takes over the Union Bar & Grille space and promises classic Italian fare engineered to satisfy the modern palate. With a 70-seat dining room and 12-seat bar plus a private dining room and patio, the restaurant has no shortage of options to enjoy chef Justin Winters’ Italian-American cuisine.
