The newest venture from the Coda Restaurant Group, SRV (which stands for “Serene Republic of Venice”) will settle into the South End by late November/early December. Chefs Michael Lombardi and Kevin O’Donnell will man the kitchens, serving up traditional Italian entrees and small bites, or ciccetti, typical of Venetian cuisine. The restaurant is modeled after a Venetian bacaro, or casual bar, and adds to the chefs’ portfolio of eateries, like NYC’s Del Posto, Italy’s Zeppelin, Paris’ L’Office and Boston’s The Salty Pig. SRV’s hours will be 5:00pm-1:00am daily—keep an eye out for updates on the Columbus Street opening.
