Top Chef switches coasts for season 13, but it may still be a lucky one for Boston with two local chefs competing for the title. Chefs Karen Akunowicz (Myers + Chang) and Carl Dooley (The Table at Season to Taste) will show off their culinary chops along the coast of California as the traveling cheftestants cross blades in more cities than ever before: San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Diego and Palm Springs. In addition to the usual suspects, Padma Lakshmi and Tom Colicchio, the judges table will feature Richard Blais, Emeril Lagasse and guest judges like Chrissy Teigen.
