Take a New Look at Torch

After nearly five years on Beacon Hill, Torch restaurant has shifted direction. Husband and wife team, Evan and Candice Deluty, have added an Italian element to what was once a strictly Parisian-inspired menu. New items include housemade potato gnocchi with artichoke tomato and parmesan reggiano; braised lamb shank with garlic spinach, potato cake and red wine reduction; and pan-seared monkfish with butternut squash risotto and rock shrimp. Nobody panic, Torch favorites like chef Evan Deluty‘s famous salmon tartare and the hanger steak with potato gratin and truffle vinaigrette are still on the menu. They’ve even made it easier to duck in to Torch by offering pre and post theatre seating with a guaranteed departure in time to make the curtain (just be sure to tell them when you make the reservation). Dinner is served Tuesday through Sunday from 5:30-10:30pm. Reservations can be made by calling 617.723.5939.
