If you love wild mushrooms but don’t have much luck finding them on your own, let the experts do what they do best and bring them right to you by way of a special menu at Forage. On Tuesday, October 17th, Tyler Akabane, owner of The Mushroom Shop in Somerville (and all-around fun guy), will be stopping by with his locally-foraged goodies which chef-owner Eric Cooper will incorporate into a four-course menu that truly lives up to the restaurant’s name. Grab a reservation here for $125 per person and keep an eye on their IG for updates on the menu, which will include plates like Mushroom Rubbed Hanger Steak (or cabbage for vegetarians/vegans) with chicken mushroom flognarde & damaged greens in a hot mushroom vinaigrette. Co-owner and ine guru Stan Hilbert will have some stellar, rare natural wines paired up with your fungi feast that they’ve been cellaring especially for this event, so don’t miss this matchup!
