The James Beard Foundation comes to Boston on Friday, October 28th as part of the ten-city Taste America® tour, celebrating culinary diversity from West coast to East. A Night of Culinary Stars spotlights just that: the talented chefs keeping Boston on the restaurant map. Host chef Mark Sapienza will welcome guests to The Langham, Boston where they can enjoy a 6:00pm cocktail reception with plates from James Beard Award winner Susan Regis (Shepard), semifinalist Irene Li (Mei Mei), nominees Karen Akunowicz (Myers + Chang), Jeremy Sewall (Row 34) and chefs Michael Scelfo (Alden & Harlow) and Peter McKenzie (Shepard). At 7:30pm, James Beard Award-winning chef Ana Sortun (Oleana, Sarma, Sofra) will collaborate with New Orleans chef John Besh for a multi-course dinner. Tickets for the star-studded night are $275 each or $375 for the VIP experience, including seating with a local culinary star, a photo-op with the chefs and a take-home gift bag.
