Looking to get your hands on some local chanterelles, oysters and maitakes? Husband-and-wife duo Danielle Ayer and chef Conor Dennehy will have all the fungus you can handle with a special Mushroom Dinner menu at Talulla in Cambridge. Mushroom guru Tyler Akabane of The Mushroom Shop and Mushrooms For My Friends in Somerville has scoured the forests of the Boston area to get the best bites, and you won’t want to miss courses like Slow Poached Egg with Chanterelle Confit, Garlic Crumb, Mushroom Ketchup and Salsa Verde; or Pork Belly with Sunchoke, Roasted Maitake and Chili Crisp. The special five-course menu, available from Thursday, October 19th through Sunday the 22nd, costs $95 per person, and you can add an optional wine pairing for $65; snag a reservation here between 5:00 and 9:00pm, or give them a call at 617.714.5584.
