Celebrate Dia de los Muertos at Loco over a DIY sesh with one of the holiday’s most beloved symbols: the sugar skull. On Wednesday, November 1st the Mexican restaurant (and oyster bar) in South Boston will be hosting a special Day of the Dead paint night where you can create your own iconic keepsake as a tribute to loved ones have passed away – sugar skulls are often placed on an ofrenda as an offering to the spirits during Dia de los Muertos, when the veil that separated the world of the living and the dead is lifted. Tickets are $35 and include one ceramic skull with paint, brushes and all the necessary supplies (including guidance from Jenna Wells of J Lenore Designs), one drink ticket and family-style apps. Tickets are going fast, so make sure to snag yours ASAP.
