Boston’s female bartenders are feeling the need for speed when Speed Rack rolls back into the city on Sunday, April 3rd. Over 20 Northeast mixologists will be shaking and stirring against the clock at Royale as part of the fundraising competition. Bartenders like Genna Barone (Franklin Café), Melissa Benson (Townsman), Clairessa Chaput (Franklin Café), Kaitlin Cusack (Rialto), Melinda Sue Johnson (Backbar), Maeghan Kleinerman (The Hawthorne), Jennifer LaForge (Franklin Café and Tiger Mama), Lillian Murnane (Harvest), Raleigh Strott (SRV) and others will put their bar skills to the test with timed takes on industry-standard cocktails. A panel of judges—including Jackson Cannon, Misty Kalfoken, Luke O’Neill and Camille Vidal—will judge the bar pros on prep time and accuracy. Tickets for the boozy showdown—which takes place from 3:00-7:00pm—are $20 in advance online here and $25 at the door, all in support of breast cancer charities.
