On Saturday, May 19th, the gloves are staying on (health codes are no joke), but the friendly competition will be fierce at the seventh annual Burger Slam, benefiting JP Manning Elementary School. Organized by school parents to celebrate JP’s restaurant community and raise money for their kiddos’ curriculum, the Burger Slam has grown from a small neighborhood party to a citywide shindig with chefs and big restaurants all tossing their buns in the ring. Every ticket—donations ranging from $45 to $300—gets you a slider from each participating restaurant (stay tuned for details), dessert, and a beer, wine, or soda of your choosing.
