There’s nothing better than late-summer tomatoes, which is why they’re getting top billing at Self Portrait‘s Celebration of the Tomato on Thursday, September 14th. Chef Tim Wiechmann will be serving a five-course meal using all types of crazy varieties of heirloom tomatoes like Santa Sweets, Cherokee Purple and Green Zebra. The tomato party will replace the regular menu for the evening, but vegetarians can rest assured, there’ll be a meat-free version of the menu available. Dinner costs $75 per person with an additional $45 for wine pairings. For more information or to make a reservation, call 617.864.4745.
