Opus One Dinner at Cafe Fleuri

The chefs of Café Fleuri host an over-the-top Opus One Wine Dinner on Thursday, April 5th. The evening gets underway at 6:30pm with indulgent hors d’oeuvres like foie gras parfait with brandy cherry on toasted brioche; and truffled lobster salad on white endive. The evening’s menu, a combined effort from Mark Sapienza and John Lambiase includes courses like charred carpaccio and tartar of Wagyu beef with garlic aioli, anise and blue cheese “popover”; spice roasted Sonoma squab breast with sweet pea tips and morels; and natural grazing lamb with blackberry herb crust, vanilla scented spring dug parsnips and favas. Pastry chef Alex Luna wraps up the evening’s meal vanilla and sweet basil parfait with marinated wild strawberries and Jerez reduction. Each course will be paired with an appropriate selection from Opus One. This kind of luxury doesn’t come cheap – the four course dinner will set you back $170 per person, not including tax or tip.
