Celebrate the Lunar New Year at Urban Hearth

Urban Hearth

On Tuesday, February 1st, toast the Lunar New Year over a menu of family-style holiday favorites at Urban Hearth. The  feast, led by team members Ali Garvin and Tong Lee who usually celebrate the holiday with their families, will feature the crew’s takes on traditional recipes from China, Korea and Vietnam – 10-vegetable pickle amuse, fried and steamed dumplings, kalbi Korean BBQ short ribs and dan tat egg tarts for dessert. The special night will be filled with craft cocktails and lots of educational opportunities, too (there’s a staff-made zine which includes recipes, traditional practices and an excerpt written by Garvin’s grandma, a first-generation Chinese-American historian from Nanjing). Book your spot online (there are seatings at 5:45 and 8:15pm indoors and out in their winter-proof ice fishing tent village) and keep an eye on their Insta and website for more details coming soon. Proof of vaccine will be required.
