On Wednesday June 13th, Michael Twitty (independent scholar, culinary historian and James Beard Award winning author) makes his way to Boston for Kosher/Soul at the New England Center for Arts & Technology. The demonstration, dinner and chat with Kitchen Kibitz‘ Jeff Gabel is all about sharing cultures through cuisine which Twitty, who’s both Black and Jewish, knows a little something about. Tickets for the event cost $55 each, and include a demo of Twitty’s black bean hummus followed by a dinner of his most well-loved recipes. Check out the delicious offerings below, and grab your tickets online here. If you don’t already have a copy of The Cooking Gene: A Journey Through African American Culinary History in the Old South, you’ll be able to grab one at the event.
