Flex your BBQ Skills

The Smoke Shop

Sure you can grill a steak and smoke a brisket, but if you’re really ready to stretch your tongs and explore some new barbecue frontiers you won’t want to miss the New Style BBQ Class with award-winning chef and Pitmaster Andy Husbands at The Smoke Shop. Head to the Assembly Row location on Saturday, September 17th from 12:00 to 2:30pm to learn some traditional smoking techniques, and then use those meats to make a lunch feast of cool dishes like Yuzu Beef Cheek Fried Rice and Smoked Chicken & Dumplings Remixed. Michael Boughton, The Smoke Shop’s beverage director, will also walk you through making an Autumn In New York cocktail with Hudson Whiskey’s Short Stack, which you can sip while you get the lowdown on the New York State distillery. Grab a ticket here for $165, which includes all your food, whiskey, and the class. Give the Assembly Row location a call if you have any Qs at 617.623.7427. This one should sell out fast, but if you can’t make it to Barbecue-U this time, bookmark their classes page for upcoming classes.
