Fry guys and gals, mark your calendars for Sunday, January 31st – Somerville’s Kirkland Tap & Trotter will be hosting a Fry-Off in support of Share Our Strength. Chef-owner Tony Maws invites fry-masters Andy Husbands from Tremont 647, Cassie Piuma of Sarma and the legendary Lydia Shire of Scampo to bring their best techniques (and dipping sauces) to the table. Grab a ticket to try all their handiwork. Proceeds from each $30 ticket will help Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry, an anti-hunger organization ensuring children and families receive the food and necessary education to shop and cook on a budget.
