As part of Drink Up Month, a month-long celebration of Boston’s beverage industry featuring cocktails specials, challenges and show-downs, some of Boston’s top drink-makers are offering up some of their best beverages for the Sling of the Summer Contest.

In collaboration with BOStoday, Will Isaza, owner of Cafe Gloria and Brand Ambassador for the Latin American spirit Singani 6, has put together the friendly competition to pick Boston reader’s favorite summer cocktail. From Monday, July 17th through Friday, July 21st, ten bartenders from different Boston neighborhoods will be competing using Singani 6 and a variety of ingredients to make their own interpretation of the classic sling (a cocktail historically made with sugar, hot or cold water, nutmeg, and a spirit). Contenders include Katie Weismann from Spoke Wine Bar, Nicole Baker from Pammy’s, Jesse Potts and Jake Smith from Uni, and more — you can find the full list below.
