Nash Bar & Stage, the forthcoming restaurant concept from chef Jason Santos’ Buttermilk & Bourbon Group, is scheduled to open Monday, January 17th. The Nashville-inspired restaurant, bar and live music venue will bring a slew of boot slapping saloon vibes north of the Mason-Dixon line.
Designed by RODE Architects, this two-story location (with a capacity for 200 seated guests) is filled with vibrant energy of Nashvegas with bright, colorful murals from Mark Grundig, custom millwork and cozy bistro lights. There’s a full-service bar, dining room and stage area on the first floor with a larger stage, second bar, high-top seating and 25-person private dining spot located on the second floor. When coast is clear and the time is right there’ll be regular events like line dancing, local bands, karaoke nights, open-mics and comedy shows.
Nash Bar will offer a wide selection of Southern-inspired dishes, for dinner and late-night diners. Chef Santos and chef de Cuisine Ryan Poutre have crafted creative takes on Tennessee flavors with numerous rub options (including Nashville hot, blackened and Tennessee smoke), a selection of fried chicken-focused dishes, along with burnt end fries, slow-roasted St. Louis ribs, jalapeño cheddar burger sliders and fresh fried dough with peach jam, maple sugar and cinnamon butter (just to name a few). And the limited late-night menu is filled with dunkalicious foods like over-the-top grilled cheese and homemade beef jerky.
The beverage program will be chock-full of wondrous alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks from a wide selection of beer and wine, classic cocktails and creative ones like cotton candy push-up pops, moonshines, frozen cocktails and monthly specialty milkshakes, starting with a Nashville-inspired hummingbird cake milkshake (which you can have spiked or not).
Located at 253 Tremont St. in the Theater District (where Abby Lane used to be), Nash Bar & Stage will be open for indoor dining daily from 5:00-10:00pm with a limited late night menu available from 10:00pm-1:00am on Friday and Saturday.
