The West End’s go-to for classic American comfort food has re-opened after its winter hiatus — Ward 8 is now open for dinner Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00-10:00pm, Friday and Saturday from 5:00-11:00pm (with a special late night menu ’til 1:00am) and for brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am-3:00pm. Snag a seat in their safely spaced dining room to tuck in to their new dinner menu which include delectables like duck wings with sweet chili, sesame and cilantro, cast iron mac and cheese made with cheddar, gruyere, fontina, parmesan, goat cheese and breadcrumbs, or grilled salmon teriyaki with quinoa, snap peas, radish, scallions and honey soy. Or sit tight ’til the weekend to have your fill of goodies like corned beef hash, eggs benedict and Nutella waffles.
