After three and a half years, Chinatown’s Townsman is closing its doors for good on Tuesday, July 3rd. The spot, known for serving New England brasserie-inspired fare, opened in 2015 at the helm of chef Matt Jennings, a James Beard nominated chef and cookbook author with roots right here in Boston. According to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page, Jennings is exploring new prospects and opportunities, ultimately eager for a life that’s more “healthy and sustainable for himself and his family.” You can read the full announcement here.
